Dead burned magnesia 90%-92% lacks demand backup

Compared with January, DBM 90%-92% continues smooth performance in China. Observing the upstream and downstream of industrial chain, Msia concludes magnesite ore price has been going steadily without obvious fluctuation in recent one year. At the same time, as heating season is coming to a close in Northern China, coal price shows tendency of going down, leading to less support to DBM price.

Up to now, downstream demand remains plain and users’ procurement is still inactive. It still demonstrates an oversupply condition.

Now mainstream FOB price of DBM 90%, lump stands at around 235 USD/t. Mainstream FOB price of DBM 92%, lump stays at around 250 USD/t. Msia anticipates there may appear mild price fluctuation in short period.
